Chika is an international medical graduate (IMG) from Nigeria. Since her migration to Canada in June 2003, she has lived in Hamilton. She is very passionate about community development through research and education as well as organizational management through leadership and policy development.
Chika has over 10-years experience working in hospitals and research institutes. She has a masters degree in Health Research Methodology and has completed the McMaster University Project Management courses. With her background in research and medical sciences, she has worked at internationally recognized research institutes like the Population Health Research Institute and the Escarpment Cancer Research Institute. Chika currently works as a Health Research Methodologist with the Cancer Care Ontario's Program in Evidence Based Care (PEBC) based at McMaster University; where she works in collaboration with Ontario physicians and experts in knowledge translation to develop evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in oncology.
In her passion for community development, she had served as the chair of the Nigerian Canadian Association in Hamilton and the board treasure in her local church.
